With fall now in season, there are also many fun fall activities coming around too. From athletics and other school events, to classic fall activities like baking and watching scary movies, Warren Central students are looking forward to the fun activities they have planned.

“This fall I plan on wrestling and running track,” sophomore Bria Westmoreland said. “Other than that, me and my nephew like to play in the leaves.”

Bria added that she likes fall because it is a great tie breaker from being extra hot to being extra cold and that all the best holidays are in October and November.

World language teacher Emily Howland stated that she does not do a lot during the fall, but she tries to enjoy the weather while it lasts.

“I like to go on walks around the neighborhood and look at the leaves while not sweating too much in my sweatshirt,” Howland said. “I also like to bake apple and pumpkin pastries. What I like about the fall is seeing the leaves change color. It's very beautiful. I love summer, but getting a break from the heat is nice as well.”

Baking fall pastries and playing in leaves isn’t all of what's happening during this fall season. Warren Central is also holding a series of concerts from the choir, orchestra and band classes, as well as a fall musical telling the story of “Cinderella.”

Caileigh Jones, a junior in choir, said she is in the fall musical and is also a part of the show choir.

“I expect the fall musical to be really good and really put together because there are going to be a lot of special pieces coming into play that have never been used in Warren Central,” Jones said.

That is not her only favorite part of the fall season though.

“I like that football games start to happen during the fall and homecoming season along with Halloween,” she said.

D’monyae Foy, a junior at Warren Central who is also a part of the “Cinderella” musical, said she usually participates in classic fall activities too.

“Me and my family usually go to a pumpkin patch during the fall or an apple orchard,” she said. “We also bake a lot. I like all the outdoor activities that we do outside of school during the fall and the peace that fall brings.”

According to sophomore Jayce Moore, the majority of the time he and his family make seafood boils and invite family over to eat candy and watch scary movies.

“I like the feeling of fall,” Moore said. “It’s not too hot and it’s not too cold. I like wearing hoodies and sweaters. Fall also allows me to get a new wardrobe too.”
