March 15, 2023
Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,
We have some important announcements for the week of March 15th.
Investing in relationships with our families and community is one of the pillars of MSD Warren's strategic plan. As a valued partner, we would like your input on how MSD Warren is doing with school climate, communication, and family needs. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey via the link below. The survey window is open from March 13th through March 24th. surveys.panoramaed.com/msdwarren/family .
All current 4th-grade students and families are invited to attend a special Journey to Intermediate Middle School on Wednesday, March 22, from 6 pm - 7:30 pm. Intermediate Middle School principals and counselors are visiting 4th graders in their elementary schools this week to share information about the exciting opportunities that await students in 5th grade. Journey to Intermediate Middle School Night will provide students, parents and caregivers the opportunity to tour the building and interact with the teachers, counselors, and administrators. Our Intermediate Middle Schools are excited to welcome the class of 2031 into their buildings next week.
Kindergarten Kick-Off Registration for the 2023-2024 school year will be held on Monday, March 20th, from 6:00-8:00 at each of our 9 Warren elementary schools.
Spring Intersession Break will begin on Monday, March 27th, and will end on Friday, April 7th. Students and staff will return on Monday, April 10th. The 22-23 school calendar is linked here.
We have successfully concluded the 3rd quarter of the school year. Scholar Report Cards will be available to view in ParentVue (Parent Portal) beginning on Saturday, March 18th. If you need assistance with accessing your ParentVue account, you can find information at
https://www.warren.k12.in.us/page/parent-portal , or contact your child's school.
We were recently notified by the City's Department of Public Works that road construction on Post Road will begin next week. The focus of this project is to rehabilitate and replace the section of Post Road between Washington Street and I-70. This work is scheduled from March to November. As you can imagine, this will create traffic congestion on Post Road and on other major roads nearby. Our transportation department is aware and is already making adjustments to bus routes. This will impact our car riders at the High School and Lakeside. Please make route adjustments or allow yourself some extra time. We will provide updates to the project as we receive them.
May 2, 2023 Referendum
On May, 2nd, MSD Warren Township will be asking Warren Township voters to approve a $.30 cent operating levy referendum rate per $100 of net assessed value. If approved, this will provide the necessary funding to support the following District areas: Student and Staff Safety and Security, Teacher and Staff Retention, Student Transportation, Student Learning and College and Career Readiness Programs, and Student and Staff Technology. Please check out our
for more information.
2023-2024 Online Registration
MSD Warren Township now utilizes an online registration process through
for families and caregivers. This process provides several benefits to our families and to our District. For families, this provides an easier way to provide updated residency and contact information, updated emergency contact and medical information, and access to student information such as attendance and grades.
Registration is open now for those families who have not yet accessed the online registration for the 2022-2023 school year, and it is available for families to get a jump start on the 2023-2024 school year. Please make note that you need to select the appropriate school year before registering.
Please take the opportunity to register your students for the 2023-2024 school year at your earliest convenience. Use your ParentVUE username and password to register current students and to add any new students for the 2023-2024 school year.
If you have a ParentVUE account and cannot remember your login information or if you need to create a new account, please contact your child's school before you start the registration process.
Thank you for your continued support and investment in Warren students, schools, and staff.
2022-2023 Attendance
As we head into the final few months of the school year; hopefully, the cold and flu season is coming to an end as well. We appreciate all your efforts with getting your student to school on time every day when they are healthy. If your student is absent from school, please report the absence to your student's school. You can do so by calling the main school number and selecting the attendance line, or by responding to the Parent Square attendance message.
If your student needs to miss school for an appointment that cannot be made before or after school, please have your student attend school before or after the appointment instead of missing the whole day. Late arrival or early dismissal is preferable over a full day's absence.
Coming to school on time, every day is important. Being tardy to school means missing valuable instruction or intervention time. If you are having trouble with getting your student to school on time, please reach out to your school's Family Engagement Liaison for support. We appreciate your efforts this year as we partner with you to improve school attendance.
Thank you for your continued support and investment in Warren scholars, schools, and staff!
