April 5, 2023
Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,
We have some important announcements for the week of April 5th.
Warren is consistently looking for ways to enhance safety and communication. We are excited to launch the MyStop App to assist our scholars and families with the arrival of their bus to and from school. The MyStop App will complement the ParentSquare communications that are sent out in the event of a late bus. Scholars are still required to report to their bus stop at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled pick-up time. Please visit our Transportation MyStop website for additional details and instructions on getting started.
Next Saturday, April 15th, the Warren Central High School Parent Teacher Student Association will host their 20th Annual Warren Pride Clean Up Event! Eastside residents are invited to join the High School PTSA group linked here or do your part in your own neighborhood or around the Eastside. There is plenty that needs to be done. We hope you will come out and show your Eastside Pride!
In a little less than a month, we will be asking our Eastside voters to approve a .09 cent increase from the current referendum to support and sustain our incredible Warren employees. The operating referendum funding is needed to replace revenue lost by tax caps and the insufficient state funding that is needed to support high-quality safety and security throughout our District, remain competitive with salaries and benefits for all our employees, provide safe and reliable transportation to our 10,000+ scholars, create career and college readiness opportunities for ALL of our scholars and to provide access to technology for ALL scholars and ALL staff. We will host a community forum on Tuesday, April 25th, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM to share how this referendum impacts our schools and community. We will also have a live stream option for this forum. If you have questions or would like more information, please visit our Referendum Webpage or contact me at thanson@warren.k12.in.us or 317-869-4346.
Hope you are enjoying your spring break, and we look forward to seeing our scholars and staff on Monday, April 10th.
Thank you for your continued support and investment in our Warren scholars, staff, and schools.
Together…#WarrenWill grow our students.
Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
