June 24, 2020
Good Morning Warren Students, Families, and Staff,
I appreciate the patience and understanding of our Warren staff and our Warren families as we have been planning for a safe and healthy return to the 20-21 school year. With that said, posted on our website news is this letter to our Warren Township community as well as the Marion County community providing some next steps in the reopening process. Based on current COVID-19 data trends in Marion County, Marion County Public Health Department along with Mayor Hogsett anticipate that Marion County will move into Stage 5 in mid-July. This would allow Warren and all Marion County districts to open the 20-21 school year as planned. Wednesday, July 29th is the first day of school for Warren.
To provide further information on the reopening for the 20-21 school year and to share our reopening plans for extracurricular activities including high school athletics, we are hosting a Zoom Reopening Webinar on Tuesday, June 30th at 7 PM. To view or participate in the webinar, please use the following link: bit.ly/msdwarrenreopening.
Please remember that new families to Warren, including out of district families, or current Warren families who need to update their information for the 2020-21 school year can visit any of our upcoming onsite registration locations. Our next registration site is available tomorrow, June 25th at Liberty Park Elementary from 9 AM - 5 PM. Students of any grade level or school can be registered at this location. You can contact our hotline at 317-608-0545 with registration needs.
Thank you for your ongoing investment in Warren students and schools.
Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
