We have an important announcement for all Warren students, staff, and families.
Due to the ongoing impact that the Omicron variant is having on our students and staff, there will be no in-person learning next week. In addition, the Warren Early Childhood Center will also be closed next week for preschool and daycare.
Monday, Jan. 17 - No school in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Tuesday, Jan. 18 - All K-12 students and staff will participate in eLearning
K-12 students will access their instructional materials through Canvas and will have access to their teachers during a three-hour window.
K-4 and 5-8 students : 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
9-12 students: 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Student attendance and grades will be based on the completion of assignments and per our eLearning policy, students will have 5 days to submit their eLearning assignments to their teacher.
Wednesday, Jan. 19 through Friday, Jan. 21 - All K-12 students will participate in virtual learning. Students will follow a schedule and will be required to engage through Zoom.
Specific details for the virtual learning days will be shared by teachers no later than Tuesday.
Student attendance will be based on presence in Zoom meetings and grades will be based on the completion of assignments.
To help monitor our COVID cases throughout next week, we are asking parents and caregivers to continue to notify your child’s school if your son or daughter tests positive for COVID. Front office school staff will be accessible next week for your call.
To support families with this transition next week, the Technology Help Desk will be open at Moorhead Community Resource Center on Monday, January 17th, and throughout the week from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., where parents can request a WiFi hotspot or receive device support. Families can also submit a request online through our parent support process, IncidentIQ, which is located on our website by clicking on Parent Remote Support under the Parents tab.
2 days of food distribution for all Warren students will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following locations: Creston, Raymond Park, Stonybrook, Renaissance, and Warren Central High School. For these two days of distribution, accommodations have been made so that families can participate at any of these locations. Tuesday will consist of 4 meals and Thursday will provide 3 meals.
