February 9, 2022
Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,
We have a few important announcements for the week of February 9th.
First, I would like to thank the 65 Warren employees who did outstanding work last week making sure our schools and facilities were ready to be open this week. Their work behind the scenes does not go unnoticed! I also want to give a #WarrenWill shout-out to our bus drivers who are having to navigate all of the plowed snow. Great job team Warren!
Due to the transition to eLearning and virtual instruction in January, we distributed hundreds of Wi-Fi hotspots for our students to use to access their Canvas and other instructional materials. We have observed that not all these are being utilized. If you are not using your District issued hotspot or no longer need it, please return it to your school so that we can make it available for another student.
I want to take this time to remind our students that their eLearning assignments are part of their normal learning and grades. Please make sure that you submit your assignments within the appropriate time frame to receive your full credit.
Students and families, did you know that each of our Warren schools offers tutoring services to support students with their academics? If you are interested in tutoring for your child, please contact your child’s teacher or administrator.
In addition, tutoring for K-12 Math, Science, and English is available at Moorhead Community Resource Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 - 5:30 p.m. Students participating in tutoring should bring their device. Parents and caregivers do not need to stay with their child during the tutoring session. Snacks will be provided and if you have questions, please reach out to MCRC at 317-532-3854.
Please remember that Monday, February 21, 2022, is a no school day in observance of Presidents’ Day, and Tuesday, February 22, 2022, is a planned eLearning day for staff professional development.
I hope you have a great rest of your week and thank you for your continued investment in Warren students, schools, and staff.
Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
