Good afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,
We have a couple of important announcements for the week of September 7th.
Hope you had a nice long Labor Day weekend and a successful eLearning day. A reminder for students to bring their device and charger to school and to complete their assignments no later than Tuesday, September 13th, to receive full credit and to be counted present for the eLearning day. Teachers will be reminding students of this expectation this week.
Each year, Indiana school districts are required to bill families for textbook rental. Many families in Indiana and in Warren Township are eligible for free textbooks. To apply for textbook rental assistance, please visit www.lunchapplication.com. Paper applications are available at your child’s school. To be considered for assistance, applications for free textbooks must be submitted no later than September 30. The district will begin sending invoices in early September, including instructions for how to pay for those families who do not qualify for assistance. If you have questions, please contact Linda Sponsel 869-4300.
Warren Council’s PTA Homefest is this Friday, September 9th, from 5 pm - 8 pm. Additional information can be found in each school’s weekly newsletters and on our District website. It is going to be a beautiful night for fun, community, and football!
One last reminder for tonight’s vaccination clinic hosted at Moorhead Community Resource Center from 4-7 pm. Walk-ins are accepted; however, participants are encouraged to register by visiting patients.vaxcare.com/registration, enter the enrollment code IN65942, and then select Warren 9/7.
The Moorhead Community Resource Center will be offering families and staff free and fresh produce each Tuesday from 6-7 pm throughout the month of September. The produce is being provided by Indy Urban Acres and United Methodist Church.
Please save the date for the Latino Heritage Festival, also being held at the Moorhead Community Resource Center on Saturday, September 24th, from 1 - 6 pm.
Have a great rest of your week, and thank you for your continued investment in Warren students, school, and staff.
Together…#WarrenWill grow our students!
