Good Evening, this is Mrs. Taylor proud principal of Warren Central High School calling with a few reminders and updates.
School will reconvene for all students this Thursday, July 27th. Our school day begins at 7:15. All car riders should be dropped at door 21. Door 21 will lock promptly at 7:15. Any student arriving after 7:15 will need to enter Door 1 on the Northside of the building facing the football stadium. Student drivers must park in Lot 8. Information will go out within the first week of school detailing how to access parking passes. There will no longer be drop off at the East end of the building at door 62. That door and lot will be blocked for construction. Additionally, cars will not have access to Door 1 or door 21 from 21st street or Mitthoeffer. Again, if you are dropping your student off you will need to access campus from 18th street and drop at door 21. Please see the map in our school newsletter. Additionally, bus drivers will be reaching out to our bus riders with route information. If you do not receive your students' bus information you may check your ParentVue or call 317-532-2820.
Finally, as students prepare to navigate our halls I encourage you to have them look at their schedules prior to the first day of school. All schedules can be accessed in StudentVue. If students have questions about their schedule they should email their counselors directly. Counselor information can be found in our school newsletter and on our WCHS website. If your student did not come to orientation or registration and pick up their Chromebooks they will report directly to their first period classes and will receive information on how and where to obtain their Chromebooks.
The first few days will be very busy as staff work to help new students navigate our building and students in general to navigate their new class schedules. I ask you for your patience and to allow administrators, counselors, and office staff time to respond to your calls, questions, and concerns. Emailing counselors or your students' grade level administrator directly will be the fastest way to get in contact. When emailing or calling please state your student's name, grade, your name, a good return number, and be specific on your reason for calling.
We have all of our students' best interests in mind and will be working around the clock to ensure a successful start to the school year.
Have a great evening!
