Good evening, this is Rich Shepler, principal of Warren Central High School. I want to thank each of you for your support last week. We had an incredible start to the school year. We appreciate your patience as we all learn a new student information system and work through some technological issues. Please rest assured that these issues will not negatively impact your students’ attendance.
At this time your student should be able to see all of their classes in Canvas. They may, however, still see old courses as well or classes that were there prior to a schedule change. Please double-check the student schedule in Synergy and use those courses to guide which Canvas course to log into. We hope to have only the correct courses listed by the end of this week.
Students that are fully virtual and still need to pick up items may do so on Tuesday, August 11th from 3-6 pm at door 25, in the PAC roundabout. Students in the following virtual courses have items to pick up:
Japanese 1
World History
English 9,10,11, or 12
Algebra 1, 2 and Geometry
Dual Credit Precalculus
Earth Science
Intro to Art and Advanced Drawing and Painting
A reminder that we will operate a help desk for virtual families at our Moorhead Community Resource Center from 11 am-1 pm Monday through Friday beginning August 6th.
I want to take a moment to specifically thank our students for their commitment to wearing their face coverings and following social distancing guidelines in the building. This will become more comfortable for all of us as time goes on. We must continue to work together for the safety of our students, staff, and community.
One final reminder, parents and caregivers that are dropping off and picking up students, must do so at the main entrance to the high school. Please enter from Mitthoeffer Road or 21st street and pull all the way around the circle to let your students out. This will allow for more vehicles to drop off at one time and prevent a back up in traffic.
We look forward to seeing everyone this week.
