This is a busy time of year with many events happening here at the high school and within our community. I want to personally invite parents and guardians of current 8th graders to join us Thursday, February 16th from 6:00-8:00pm for a "Journey to the High School" Parent Night. This event will allow families an opportunity to learn more about Warren Central High and all of the wonderful opportunities that will be available to students. Parents and students will have an opportunity to meet with counselors about their schedules, visit with coaches and sponsors of many of the extracurricular and athletic programs offered, and take a tour of the building. We will begin the evening in our WCHS Performing Arts Center promptly at 6pm. Please enter at Door 27.
Please remember that there will be no school for students Monday, February 20th in recognition of President's Day or Tuesday, February 21st due to a planned eLearning day. February 21st will be a synchronous eLearning day which means students will be required to meet virtually with their teachers on this day. Attendance will be taken based on student participation and completion of assigned work.
Also, please note that March 1st all 11th graders will be taking the required SAT and will be dismissed at 1:45. Students in grades 9, 10, and 12th will not attend school this day. March 1st will be an asynchronous day for our 9th, 10th, and 12th graders. Teachers will assign work via canvas and students will not be required to meet virtually with teachers. More details will be provided closer to the date.
Finally, I would like to ask you to keep communicating to your students that our goal is to provide a safe environment for both students and staff. We will continue to do regular bus sweeps, random door searches, and hallway sweeps. Students found to be in violation of our drug and/or weapon policy will be subject to disciplinary action. Please encourage your students if they see something to say something.
Have a great evening!
