A group of Construction students recently toured the IKORCC (Carpenters’ union) training facility where they learned about careers as a carpenter, millwright, and floor coverer.
The amazing world of technology is introduce in the STEM class at Lowell Elementary. Fortunately, Cadet Teachers are able to experience the preparation and execution of exciting lesson plans like this during their field experience.
Today in our CNA class they used vocabulary words and words they are using in their work setting to create a safety story revolving around costume, trick or treat, or party going safety. The students collaborated in small groups and as an entire class to accomplish a final written piece!

Accounting student Anderson Luu said his work-based learning opportunity at TCU is great learning experience. He said he has learned skills for working in a professional setting and the importance of asking questions when you need help.

Our Welding students visited the Steamers and Pipe Fitters Union this week to explore postsecondary education/employment opportunities. Many of the students completed applications at the end of the tour. It’s yet another great opportunity for our students! #WCCWeGetItDone
