Good afternoon Warren Students, Families and Staff,
Welcome back students and staff! I have several important announcements in this week’s communication. Since we are starting a new semester, families will need to pick up learning materials from their schools. Please be on the lookout for these details in your child’s school newsletter. These are posted each week on each school’s website under Newsroom.
The request window is now open for our Kindergarten through 5th grade families to switch their learning model preference. The request form will be available on each school’s website until this Friday, January 8th at 3PM. Unless something changes with COVID, this will be the last opportunity to change. This will allow our students and teachers to create connections and consistency for the remainder of the school year.
The request window for 6th - 8th grade families will be open Friday, January 15th until Friday, January 29th at 4PM.
During the VIRTUAL window for 6th - 12th grade, students will see an adjustment to their weekly schedule. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays will be live instruction days where students will follow their daily class schedule. Tuesdays and Thursdays will be application days where students complete their assignments in Canvas. We are offering tutoring to all Warren Central High School students on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 - 4:45 in the West Cafeteria and All 5-8 students can access tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:30 at their home school.
Just a reminder that our food distributions are back on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Moorhead Community Resource Center, Warren Central High School, Creston, Raymond Park, and Stonybrook Intermediate Middle Schools. If you have needs beyond what is being offered, you can call our outreach hotline at 317-608-0545 or email at MSDWarrenOutreach@warren.k12.in.us with your request.
Starting the week of January 19th, the Technology Help Desk Hours will return to 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Moorhead Community Resource Center. K-4 VIRTUAL students with iPad issues should be brought here. Chromebooks can still be brought to any of the three Intermediate Middle Schools during school hours, 9:00 - 4:00, Monday - Friday or the Chromedesk at the High School during 1st and 2nd period, Monday - Friday. If for some reason you are not able to access the above times and locations, you can submit a help ticket through IncidentIQ by clicking on Technology Tab under the Explore Tab and then select Parent Tech Info.
I encourage all of our students to attend class everyday, engage with their teacher, and stay on top of their assignments. If you need assistance, please talk with your teacher or counselor. Let’s start this second semester strong. Be safe and stay warm.
